Many of us believe that the Higher Self is God or a highly spiritual entity in spiritual domain or some other higher being.  We always extrapolate our own spiritual capacity onto some other spiritual entity and expect it to do our spiritual work.  You will always experience your Higher Self and your spirituality as you believe in it.  However the real science of the Higher Self begins with you. 

Each one of us (our spiritual or C-Body) is a part of Greater Self that in turn is made of loose C-domain made connections via C-energy with other Aspects (making up the total Higher Self) and a sequence of prior physical existences.  Higher Self is not a separate Entity but it also is not just you as you know yourself.  In more exact terms, Higher Self typically has 7-15 Aspects including yourself (your spiritual or C-Body) that are connected "loosely" via C-energy in C-domain including the concurrent Aspect existing in the physical domain - you!
